Okay, so last week I took note of mom and Cindy's awesome losses and decided it was time to get down to business with this weight loss thing! Up until this point, I have been half-hearted at best about this. So, I watched what I ate and focused on whole grains, fruits, veggies, and lots of water. I cut portion sizes, and I hit the gym all week.
And I GAINED TWO POUNDS!
What the heck?
It is beyond frustrating. If I am going to gain I might was well be lazy and eat junk.
So, here is my question. What, mom and Cindy, SPECIFICALLY, are you eating (or not eating) and doing to have had such good success? I need more ideas!

ReplyDeleteKeep it up Alie,
ReplyDeleteI think sometimes your body takes a week or two to adjust to the changes, you rmetabloism will adjust, but it does take time! If you want to really know count the calories. In and out!
I will try to elaborate on this, this week!
You are doing great though...results or not!!
Dave
I think one of my big things has been watching not just what I eat, but when I eat. I stopped having "little snacks" all the time between meals. They really start to add up. Also, on a suggestion from a friend, I've stopped eating food after 8 PM. I don't know if it will help, but keep it up. I'm not brave enough to hit the gym. I do videos.
ReplyDeleteMy sister has struggled with weight in her adult life and she decided that she was ready to get healthier. She had a trainer/coach to help her (she has a little more money than me). She started rigorously working out and eating a very careful diet (not so much diet but adjusting her eating habits to healthy eating habits that fit her calorie outtake). Anyway, she didn't lose any weight for over a month but she had dropped 3 pant sizes and she could see the difference in her body. Not losing the weight was frustrating, but she kept on it. When I talked to her last she finally started to lose the weight. So stick to it.
